How to give your gift

Six ways to stand with families in Haiti

Your generosity can help a child stay in school, give children a safe place to learn, help a family become more self-sufficient, or put food on a table tonight.

One · Child education & sponsorship

Give a child a chance to learn

Many vulnerable and displaced children in Haiti struggle to remain in school because their families cannot afford school fees and basic educational needs. Your gift can help a child receive a Christian education, stay in school, and prepare for a better future.

  • Sponsor a child $30 / month
  • Sponsor a child for the nine-month school year $360
  • Give any other amount You choose

Nine months of support can open a door. Long-term sponsorship can help a child walk through it.

Two · Equip a servant for ministry

Equip a servant. Strengthen the Church.

Robenson is serving the Church of Laferoney while pursuing his Bible-school education. Now in his second year, he is preparing to teach God’s Word, disciple believers, and serve the Church with greater wisdom and effectiveness.

$90 a month covers books and study materials, tuition and school fees, and transportation to and from Bible school.

  • Equip a servant $90 / month
  • Equip a servant for one nine-month Bible-school year $810
  • Give any other amount You choose

If you cannot commit to $90 each month, a one-time gift of any amount is a meaningful way to stand with Robenson.

Three & four · School projects

Two buildings between children and a place to learn

Build a classroom. Build a future.

Institution Alexandre Campbell has 75 children enrolled and needs additional classrooms to provide a safe and appropriate learning environment. Your gift will help LCA complete four new classrooms, allowing more children to receive a quality Christian education. This is a project we are building toward gift by gift, and every contribution moves it forward.

  • Gift $5,000
  • Gift $10,000
  • Any other amount You choose

Protect our children. Complete the school wall.

A safe school environment is essential for children, teachers and families. Only half of our property is currently enclosed. LCA is working to complete the remaining concrete-block perimeter wall, creating a safer place where children can learn, play and grow.

Five · Livestock & family support

Give a family an animal. Give a family a future.

Violence has forced families from their homes, destroyed livelihoods and taken away opportunities to work. LCA wants to respond not only by giving families food today, but by helping them build a way to provide for themselves tomorrow.

Through the Family Livestock Support Project, LCA provides displaced and struggling families with chickens, goats, pigs and cows. These animals become a source of food, income and hope: eggs and meat to eat, offspring to raise, and production to sell in local markets.

Our goal is to help families move from dependency to dignity, from receiving to producing, and from surviving to rebuilding.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17 (NIV)

A gift that multiplies

One animal can multiply. One family can become self-sufficient. One opportunity can change a child’s future. Where possible, families are encouraged to share the benefit of their growing livestock with another struggling family.

Six · Bread of Hope

Put food on a family’s table

Amid hunger, insecurity, displacement and economic hardship, many families in Laferoney, Croix-des-Bouquets struggle to put food on the table. Through the Bread of Hope Food Distribution Program, LCA partners with the Christian Church of Laferoney to provide food assistance to families facing urgent needs.

For some families, a food package means a mother can prepare a meal for her children. For others, it means going to bed with a little less hunger and a little more hope.

We believe that caring for people means more than speaking about God’s love. It means putting that love into action.

Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” Matthew 14:16 (NIV)
Your gift can change a life

Every gift matters. Every child matters.

  • A scholarship can keep a child in school.
  • A generous gift can equip a servant for the ministry.
  • A classroom can give children a place to learn.
  • A wall can help protect that place.
  • A goat or chicken can help a family build an income.
  • A food package can help put a meal on a family’s table.

Thank you for putting the love of Christ into action.
