$30 a month keeps a child in school
For many children in Bonnette, an education is not something they can take for granted. It is a privilege. Sponsorship is how that privilege reaches one more child.
Three ways to support a child
Sponsor a child
A recurring monthly gift. This is the most useful form of support, because the school can plan around it.
Start monthlySponsor for the school year
A single gift that covers the nine-month school year for one child, start to finish.
Give the school yearGive what you can
Not everyone can commit to $30 a month. A gift of any size still helps a child stay in a classroom.
Give onceNine months of support can open a door. Long-term sponsorship can help a child walk through it.
Behind every child is a story
The LCA Children’s Sponsorship Project supports vulnerable and displaced children in Haiti, including students at Institution Alexandre Campbell. Many of these children come from families whose lives have been deeply affected by poverty, displacement and gang violence.
The children in our program come from many different circumstances. They include children living with their parents, orphans, displaced children fleeing gang violence, abandoned children, and children from families facing extreme poverty and hardship.
Some have lost their homes, their sense of security, or people they love. Others are simply growing up in circumstances they did not choose.
Families are struggling to meet their most basic needs, and sending a child to school can feel impossible. Yet we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and discover the purpose God has for their life.
Three things your sponsorship pays for
School fees
Tuition that a displaced family, often without work or a home, cannot cover on their own.
Supplies and uniforms
Books, notebooks, backpacks, uniforms, and the everyday materials a child needs to take part in class.
Support for teachers
Many of our staff have chosen to remain committed to Christian education despite limited resources and difficult circumstances. Sponsorship helps us encourage the people who faithfully invest in the next generation.
The goal is bigger than attendance
The goal of the LCA Sponsorship Program is more than simply helping children attend school. We want to help children become responsible citizens, compassionate leaders and faithful servants of God who can make a positive difference in their families and communities.
We desire to give these children more than an education. We want to give them hope, a safe place to belong, and the opportunity to become all that God created them to be.
By investing in a child today, we are investing in a family, a community, and a generation that can bring lasting change to Haiti.
